Andersons Pharmacy has been serving the people of Portadown with their heath needs since 1952. A husband and wife team of qualified pharmacists, Noel and Muriel started the pharmacy together. While the first pharmacy was purchased in 1952 the family appreciate that even today some of Noel's original customers still use our service. Raymond now runs Anderson's Pharmacy together with his mother. Community pharmacy has progressed much in the last 50 years and rather than preparing medicines in the pharmacy there is now a much greater emphasis on helping people get the best from their medication. The Pharmacist is the medicine expert on the High Street.This means a greater emphasis on service and advice. With many more medicines available, the possibility of interactions and side effects have increased. At Andersons our staff are available to help you with any questions you may have about your medicines. We also can also make it easier for you to stop smoking, carry out some diagnostic tests in the pharmacy and provide you with health information before you travel abroad. We also offer a free prescription collection servive and a free service treating some comon minor conditions including colds, flu, hayfever, headlice and some common fungal infections.
